Timing is Everything!!

Deciding on the time of day or evening the event will start and end is base on a few variables. The timing of each of the variables are essential to having great event, the client and guest experience.

  • Type of Event

  • Venue

  • Preparation

  • Logistics

  • Installation

  • Staffing

  • Inside or Outside Event

  • Weather

  • Catering - Food Preparation

  • Transportation/Travel

  • Guest List

When timing is delayed in any area of the process it causes a trickle down effect. This means adjustments need to be made in almost every detail of the day. The Event Planner is managing the client, guest, vendors and most importantly problem solving to assure the event continues to run smoothly. This is done all while remaining compose, patient, understanding, observant, listening, guiding and maintaining a pleasant demeanor.

When you as a guest arrive for the event to experience all the feels, remember there is a lot of thought and preparation that has went into the event to assure you feel special and welcome. When you receive a formal invitation to attend an event as a guest considering the following:

  • RSVP - complete all the information and reply.

  • Arrive on time.

    • Life happens. If life causes you to arrive late, the staff will guide you accordingly.

  • Follow the instructions of the Event Planner and Staff.

    • They are trying their best to orchestrate a smooth event without disruption in an orderly manner.

  • Don’t take offense to the staff’s direction and instruction, be patient and respectful.

  • Gratuity - Servers and Bartenders love feeling appreciated for their service.

  • If you have a concern, address it with the Event Planner or staff in a professional quiet manner.

  • The hostess wants you to to have a good time. Arrive with a Joyous spirit and enjoy the experience.
