CELEBRATION OF LIFE

It has always been humbling to me how different cultures celebrate the end of life. There are very distinctive differences cutlurally how love ones are honored. How one chooses to pay tribute to the life of a love one is very personal. It can be silent, vocal or an over flow of emotions. This is no incorrect way.
When I was contacted to design a space to memoralize a love one I was humbled. I had no connection to the person or family of the individual whom contacted me. However, I was very in tune to words that were being spoken. The instinctive my tone of voice, the sincerity in the articulation of the words that were spoken. After discussing what was needed I noted what we discuss. My immediate response was, Interesting. Then as I thought more about what we discuss, my response was WOW.
When arriving at the space to meet the client I felt the deepest emotion and connection. Listening to the story of the tragic lost of this individual I feel an immense connection with this individual. People with geniune souls are the heartbeat of world. I thought to myself, God this is what you have been preparing me for. This is why you gave me the gift. I will use this time to honor you and this individuals life.
The purpose for the call was greater than designing the space. The purpose was to create moments of comfort, support, trust, security and build substaining relationships. During the planning process I had not met the family of the decease. I had not seen an image of the decease. However, the connection I felt was so powerful.
When meeting the family the only words exchaged were words of gratitude and appreciation. Thank you God for giving me this opportunity and purpose.
