WHAT GROOMS WANT
What Grooms Want
After The Dance Blog Series Pt. 3
Q: As a groom going through the Wedding Planning process, what information/resources would have been more helpful to you?
John: I would have like visuals of stylish looks for grooms and groomsmen. Clothing and accessories that are style that targets grooms and groomsmen. If I did not have the assistance of Cheri Denise Events, my attire might have been camouflage tie.
James: An easier or less complicated way to find stylish tuxedos and suits for groom and groomsmen. The location where we reside does not have a variety of fashionable options for males.
Chad: All professionals involved in any aspect of the wedding planning process need not assume that the groom is not interested in the details of the process. As the groom, I was more detailed oriented of the two of us and actively involved in the Wedding planning process. Promoting unity and harmony in the beginning versus dissension based on gender bias can help the couple start off well.
Xavier: The exact costs of everything! I did not realize how expensive weddings can be. The cost for items like chairs that has a very high mark-up. I had to reframe my thought process on the little things that make a tremendous impact on the look of the wedding. This would have given me a better perspective on what to expect financially.
Brian: More detailed breakdown of wedding packages, tier options and what’s included with each. On a personal level I should have been open to advice on DJ’s instead of leaving to other parties.
Marquis: I allowed my wife to handle everything. She made sure that every detail was met and really thought about my needs well as well as hers. Perhaps if there were a Resource for fiancé’s to review and receive support on what to expect when getting married. This would help especially since so many males may not have a huge support system or a visual example of what a marriage is and should be. This would be idea.
LaSae: Before marriage we received counseling. I must admit that I was reluctant to do so. We had a great husband and wife team that basically guided us through every question I had about marriage. I feel every question was answered. We were lucky to have a very mature couple that has been through peeks and valleys. It went very well.
