SELF-CARE IS A LIFESTYLE
Often we cheat ourselves out of doing what we know is best for us to do for others. We have mini-conversations in our heads that leads us to sacrifice our need to rest, refuel, take a moment to breath and start over. This is not healthy for our mental and physical health. Eventually we will deplete with nothing left to give anyone that has consume our energy. We have to do better.
It’s okay to focus your attention on you! Take time to rejuvinate and enjoy being with yourself. You are also demonstrating to others how you want to be treated. Also, you schedule time to maintain your health and beauty from inside out.
Below are a few things that have made a difference in my overal mental and physical health.
QUIET : No sound of anyone or anything. Resting the mind from outer elements that interfere with your train of thought. Give your brain a break. We absorb so much in a day from social media, TV, people, work, etc. Quiet-Time is beneficial to recharge.
HOTEL STAY ALONE: No distractions. Order in food, binge watch your favorite shows, have a pajama day and sleep.
WALK or BIKE RIDE: Take a walk in the middle of the day or before you wind down for the evening. Fresh air is always good. A great way to bring clarity.
WATER: Our bodies need water everyday and consistently. It cleanses and keep everything inside nourish and moist. You will love the GLOW!
TAKE YOURSELF ON A DATE: Treat yourself to a nice dinner, a glass of champagne or wine. Buy yourself something special.
REGULAR WORK OUT ROUTINE: Excersising a minimum of three time a week makes a difference in our overall health. You are worth 30 mins to a hour. Gym memeberships are cheaper than hospital bills.
YOU ARE IMPORTANT: Love on yourself daily. Quote affirmations, take time to pray, have fun, laugh a lot and they will notice the difference in you.
Enjoy Your Day!
